SPRING 2019 NATIONAL ISSUE

sierra & anthony

Sierra is Native American and Anthony is Filipino, and as both their cultures are very important to them we found ways to highlight cultural cuisine, ceremonies and design into their wedding weekend. Locally sourced items such as tropical florals were combined with custom components including wood ornament escort cards and coaster place cards to personalize the guest experience. “We hoped to capture the existing beauty, not take away from it by using natural elements rather than decorations,” says Sierra.

FALL 2019 ONLINE FEATURE

darby & evan

Darby and Evan found their initial wedding design inspiration just outside their front door.  "For a color palette, we wanted to incorporate bougainvillea—which is all over San Francisco—to bring some of our home city to Hawaii," says Darby.  That vibrant hue became a focal point for the décor elements, which included floral monogrammed stationary, fuchsia hued centerpieces and pink print linens. With a live band and the hora to really start the party, everyone was on the dance floor before dinner was even served!

SUMMER 2020 NATIONAL ISSUE

anna & feng

Anna and Feng got engaged while surfing off the coast in California, so it felt very fitting to gather their closest friends and family at another one of their favorite surf locations, Maui! The couple welcomed their guests with a tropical welcome reception, followed by an ocean side wedding at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua and wrapped up the weekend with a detox brunch. With the help of Unveiled Hawaii, the couple’s dream wedding aesthetic came to life as “tropical meets modern with a Balinese-inspired atmosphere.”
